MLS#662349 ~ Price $40,000 ~
6.23Acres ~ Taxes $609 / 2010
Patented mining claim ideal as an off grid cabin site. Insurable
access and driveway is already cut in. Meadow land as well as portions with
huge spruce trees. Located in the Minnehaha Basin area. There's a large
tunnel on this property although the entrance to it is caved in. No water
comes out of this tunnel.
This property is immediately North of the Black Hawk mine and the direction of the tunnel is directly on strike with the Minnehaha mine and then over the ridge into the old Sunnyside mine workings. I have some ore that I collected off of the mine dump and had assayed several years ago. It contained gold, silver, lead and zinc. You will get all of the minerals when you buy this property but it is subject to a royalty right reserved by previous owners (my partner and myself). What that means is that we can never make you mine the property, but if you ever do we get a small piece of the action. For those not knowing the area very well, Minnehaha Basin lies East of the Silverton extreme ski area. If you hike up to the top of the property, you can actually see the ski area. Down were you would build your cabin however, there is a ridge in the way that would block out the view of the ski area. The County road goes through this property in two locations, but they do not maintain the road so winter access would have to be by cross country ski, snowmobile, or snowshoeing. Electricity would probably be a little less than a mile away by the way the Crow flies. Of all the cabins in Minnehaha Basin none uses outside electricity; those that have electricity are doing it off of photovoltaic or propane generators. Be sure to look in the associated documents for additional materials and information. |
